Delete your account
You can permanently delete your what2c.tv account and everything stored against it at any time. There are two ways to do it.
In the app or on the web (immediate)
- Open your Profile screen.
- Scroll to the bottom and choose Delete account.
- Confirm with your password, or with Google if that is how you sign in. This step exists so that nobody else can delete your account from a device you left signed in.
- Choose Delete permanently.
The deletion happens straight away. It cannot be undone, and we cannot restore a deleted watchlist.
By email
If you can no longer sign in, write to [email protected] from the address the account uses. We will delete the account and confirm once it is done. We may not be able to act on a request sent from a different address, because that is the only thing that tells us the request is yours.
What is deleted
- your account — the Firebase Authentication record holding your email address and user ID;
- your watchlist document — every saved title, its watched status, your ordering, and the preferences stored with it;
- the copy held in your device’s local storage, cleared on the device you delete from.
Nothing is retained on a delay and there is no recovery window: the account record and the watchlist document are removed at the moment you confirm.
What is not affected
what2c.tv shows information about films and series that comes from third parties (TMDB, TVDB, and others). That catalogue data is not yours and is not stored against your account, so it is unchanged by deleting it. Anonymous, aggregated usage counts that cannot be tied back to you may remain in analytics.
Server logs can hold request metadata such as IP addresses for a short period as a matter of routine operation. See the Privacy Policy for what is collected and why.
If you only want to sign out
Signing out leaves your account and watchlist intact and simply ends the session on that device. Use Sign out on the Profile screen instead.
